On July 4, 2018, the eighth standing council of the fifth China Sugar Associasion, i.e. the fourth expended council of the fifth China Sugar Associasion, a seminar on production and marketing situation of sugar, and a promotion on new technique and equipment in line with implementation of transformation and upgrading in sugar industry were held as scheduled in Kunming, Yunnan. Altogether 400 insiders and relevant leaders from China Sugar Associasion, Yunnan Provincial Industry & Information Technology Commission, Guangxi Sugar Industrial Office of Development and Planning, each provincial sugar associasions, sugar manufactured enterprises, and other relevant sugar campanises attended the meeting. Mrs. Cheng Shujuan and Mr. Liu Yang, general manager and vice general manager of CCSI, were also invited.

During the meeting, Mr. Jia Zhiren, the prisident of China Sugar Associasion, made summary report for the situation of China sugar industry so far this year and a work report of secretariat of China Sugar Associasion was adopted at the meeting. Mr. Li Wengang, the director of Guangxi Sugar Industrial Office of Development and Planning, Mr. Cao Wangfeng, the director of Yunnan Provincial Industry & Information Technology Commission, and the prisident of Yunnan Sugar Associasion analyzed production and marketing situation in sugar industry this year. Besides, Mr. Jia Zhiren ended some rumors, stated several viewpoints and reasens why sugar price went down, summed up hot problems which were being concerned by the public, and encouraged people to work hard and made greater contribution to development of China sugar industriy.
